Industry codes

Statistics Korea's industrial classification (KSIC), 11th revision, in English. This is the code you pass to industry when searching the company dataset.

How to use a code

industry takes a KSIC code by prefix. 26 matches the whole division; 26299 matches one class. A section letter (C, G) is not accepted, and neither is an industry name.

Finer 3, 4 and 5-digit classes exist under each division and work the same way. Only the 77 divisions are listed here — the full classification runs to thousands of classes and is published by Statistics Korea.

Divisions

Companies is how many are in this dataset — 10 or more insured employees, headquarters only — not how many exist in Korea. Divisions showing 0 are real classifications with nothing in our population; they are listed so a zero-result search is explainable rather than mysterious.
